<description>This 1-minute, 7-second video taken in December of 2010 shows NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory technicians pouring liquid nitrogen into a calibration vessel that was then lifted into position next to JPL's High-Altitude Monolithic Microwave integrated Circuit (MMIC) Sounding Radiometer (HAMSR) sensor aboard NASA Global Hawk #872. Next, the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's High-Altitude Imaging Wind and Rain Airborne Profiler (HiWRAP) sensor is tested after installation on the aircraft. This is followed by additional HAMSR installation footage. The Global Hawk, operated by NASA's Dryden (now Armstrong) Flight Research Center, is seen taking off from a runway at Edwards Air Force Base, CA on a mission to study hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico and the eastern Atlantic Ocean.
