Some famous sights include the Carlsbad Caverns, the Grand Canyon, the Mission Inn in Riverside, San Diego, and different parts of Los Angeles including Santa Monica beach. The film mostly features sights, but sometimes people are shown as well. Please note: this film has suffered heat damage so the colors have transferred from one part of the film to the other on the roll, and so it looks less than perfect. 0:09 people in line at the Carlsbad Caverns National Park Visitor Center, 1:05 different stalagmites and stalactites in the cave interior, 1:48 different shots of the Grand Canyon, 5:10 a man in a cowboy hat enjoying the view of the Grand Canyon, 5:26 people walking around at Hermits Rest, 5:50 more views into the Grand Canyon, 6:13 a Navajo Indian poses outside the Fred Harvey Native American Village, 6:38 views of the Grand Canyon, 7:00 Native Americans or possibly Smoki dancers performing for a crowd, 7:48 view of a desert landscape from a car, 8:15 different shots of the architecture at the Mission Inn Riverside in California, 9:41 people in a hotel courtyard in Palm Springs, 9:58 people riding horses in cowboy clothes on the streets of Palm Springs, 10:44 the hotel courtyard, 11:05 overview of the ocean in San Diego, 11:47 the San Diego skyline and harbor, 12:11 shots from the streets of San Diego, 12:54 shots from the Mission in San Juan Capistrano, 14:10 the Hollywood Bowl, 14:40 Santa Monica Beach and what might be the Hearst beach house as seen from the palisades, 15:58 street shots from LA, 15:07 the Japanese Garden in LA, 15:40 street shots from LA including the Angels Flight Railway. Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed. For almost two decades, we've worked to collect, scan and preserve the world as it was captured on 35mm, 16mm and 8mm movies -- including home movies, industrial films, and other non-fiction. If you have endangered films you'd like to have scanned, or wish to donate celluloid to Periscope Film so that we can share them with the world, we'd love to hear from you. Entirely film backed, this material is available for licensing in 24p HD, 2k and 4k.
