This purports to show a behind the scenes look at the 1965 Synanon feature film. Features Synanon House, actors from the movie, and Chuck Dederich. The feature was directed by Richard Quine and stars Chuck Connors, Stella Stevens, Alex Cord, Richard Conte, Eartha Kitt and Edmond O'Brien. It featured a screenplay by Ian Bernard and was filmed at Synanon in Santa Monica, California. Synanon was created by Charles E. "Chuck" Dederich Sr. in 1958 and, while it disbanded in 1991 in the USA due to significant legal problems and loss of its tax exempt status, it still exists in Germany. It was originally conceived and established as a drug rehabilitation program, but devolved into a cult called the "Church of Synanon" by the 1970s. Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
