The organization was founded in Omaha, Nebraska by Father Edward J. Flanagan, a Roman Catholic priest. This film is circa 1951 and was produced by Carl Dudley, directed and written by Herman Boxer, and released by Dudley Pictures Corp. Opening credits and then a title card (:06-:31). Young boys run around a city block and play. They then play cards. A broken liquor bottle on the floor near the arm of a drunk father as a young, upset boy stares at him. Police bring a young boy to the station. A priest, Father Edward J. Flanagan. Exterior of a shabby building. Boys Town sign outside of the building. This is located 10 miles west of Omaha, NE. Boys play in the yard (:32-2:32). A statue of Father Flanagan and some boys is being looked at by a young boy at Boys Town. Father Wegner, general director of Boys Town, sits at a desk and writes. Boys play as Father Wegner walks by, takes their ball, and throws it. Boys walk toward the building. Boys in class. Older boys are taught. A student raises his hand while a female teacher teaches. Exterior of a Trade School building on campus, boys walk towards it. Students look at a printing machine. Students work on an automobile. Others look at a machine and are taught. A boy receives a high school diploma (2:33-5:20). A student plows a field with a tractor. Shots of corn field, cows, chickens. A student readies a hose. Others round up sheep. Boys take care of a cow. Boys fix a bicycle as others play. A boy who has recently arrived is not socially adjusted as of yet, he is shy and lonely. A boy runs away from a woman. A student stops working. The welfare department at Boys Town work as a group. Boys leave class and run wild across the grass. Boys play checkers as others do other things (5:21-8:07). Exterior welfare office at Boys Town. An instructor walks a boy out. Boys play. Some boys water the grass. Boys play baseball. Boys walk towards a campus building. Boys run out of a building. Track and field, football, varsity football played for a while (8:08-11:22). A boy eats. All of the boys eat at 'feeding time.' A boy puts on ties and wears a dress shirt. Boys dance with girls. A house band at a party plays. A couple dances while others watch and clap. A Chapel on the campus grounds. Catholic service as a boys choir lines up on the altar (11:23-13:44). Boys play on the streets as a cop approaches. A woman brings a boy to Boys Town. A boy sits on a wall. Boys play and walk. Feeding time at Boys Town. A boy plays a trombone. A student works in the machine shop. A truck pulls up, a boy gets out of the back of it and walks in to Boys Town (13:45-15:24). A boy talks with a priest. A boy writes at a desk. A bus pulls up to Boys Town. Boys sit in a rec room. Boys throw a football around. Others play on the grass. The 'feeding room.' The campus of Boys Town, boys wave at the camera. Boys walk along the campus grounds. One approaches a priest (15:24-17:41). The Boys Town motto: 'He ain't heavy, Father…he's m' brother'  (17:42-17:49). End credits (17:50-17:51).
