The Army-Navy Screen Magazine was a bi-weekly newsreel series that was first released in May 1943. Reels were shown before feature films in military motion picture theaters during World War II. Each issue consist of different segments that include updates on the war, stories on the home front, other variety, and episodes of the cartoon called Private Snafu, written by Theodore “Dr. Seuss” Geisel.
