The purpose of the film is to educate the viewer on cost-effective and practical ways to Decorate and Arrange, completely Remodel or Plan and Build a new living space. Each approach has a different commitment level for time and finances. This narrated film opens on a city street and proceeds to show the viewer different types of houses. Two men walk into an apartment building. Women of means from an earlier period are shown, seated in a parlor :49. Women bring groceries into the kitchen 1:07.
