This film portrays the Holts in an overall positive light. Bertha and Harry founded the International Children's Services (ICS) in 1956. In recent years, troubling news has surfaced over various allegations of false adoptions and abuse. The film follows a number of families as they travel to Ilsan Korea; through their flight into the country and their experience in the country escorted by Holt as they embark on the adoption process. The documentary is narrated by actor Dana Andrews (:22). The scene opens as Korean refugees march and sing over lightly wooded terrain (:37). Holt marches ahead (1:38). In October of 1955, he arrives back in Oregon (2:49) with eight Korean orphans. Crying children are loaded into (3:02) a white Dodge Coronet (3:08). Bertha washes children in the tub (3:20). A devoutly religious family; adoptees learn to pray with the Holts (3:28). Construction on the "Holt Farm" began in 1961 (3:43). This was to be a forty building adoption center in Eugene, Oregon. Construction workers operate concrete sifters (3:54). The center opens; nearly 700 adoptees arrived annually (4:24). The film follows the induction process; baby limbs wiggle over the weigh scale (4:40). Charts and record keeping is mentioned (5:05). Youth play with stones in the sand (5:58). Korean parents pick up luggage (6:37). West coast families arrive at the Los Angeles airport (6:37). Packages arrive for Holt international (6:56). Adopting parents meet (7:23). Common American goods are stuffed within the travel suitcases (8:03). An overtly religious quote from Harry Holt (8:46) is read as passengers board a Flying Tiger Line plane (9:16). Stewardesses tend to guests (9:25) for the 19 hour ride.  Parents look at images of potential adoptees (9:58). Families and stewardesses discuss the adoption process (10:20). The flight crosses the 800th meridian (11:18). Passengers sing a hymn (12:03). They arrive in Gimpo International Airfield in Seol Korea (13:00). A customs officer boards the craft (13:43). Passengers unload into the air terminal (13:48). Harry Holt (14:17) greets travelers. The valley of Ilsan follows (14:46). The view runs over hills and low lands (14:55).  A young Korean girl prepares expensive eggs (50 cents a pop at the time) in order to uphold American comfort and tradition (15:51). A stream floods and parents must walk the remaining half mile (16:16). Footage shows children meeting their new parents (17:09). A young girl, unchosen by any family; chomps on a stick of gum (18:38). The once large intertwined group disperse into smaller families (19:05). Couples wander city streets (20:06). An adopted son snaps photographs (20:15). Unchosen youth watch a show performed by a clown (21:59). The men investigate a decommissioned Case brand manufacturer bulldozer (12:55). Harry Holt confides in a friend over money troubles (12:57) and a water shortage (25:23). Harry helps load up a new family (26:10) into the orphanage truck. A traffic cop directs traffic (26:50). A sign reads Holt adoption program (27:00). Tiny Korean youth play in boxes; new attendees to the office (27:35). Rotary telephones jingle at the adoption headquarters (28:50) as news arrives of Holt’s death (28:56). Children and staff grieve (29:12). An ambulance peels from the curb (30:16). A monument is erected for Holt in Ilsan (30:51). His funeral service (32:26). A solid mahogany casket is sanded down (33:08).  Bertha Holt shakes hands and bows as she arrives in front of a VW bus (34:56). The family moves forward searching for a final resting place (36:13). They select a hill high above Ilsan (36:26). The service begins (39:09). The film was written by Edward Spiegel (46:35).  Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
