This color U.S. Air Force educational/promotional film is for Boeing Vertol's 107 helicopters. No copyright but this is circa the mid/late 1960s. Opening: Boeing Vertol Division presents The Boeing Vertol 107 Operational Versatility (:08-:26). Three Boeing Vertol 107 helicopters fly in the sky. The U.S. Marines version of the Boeing Vertol 107 is called the CH-46a, called the Sea-Knight by the Marines. The Sea Knight helicopters come in for a landing and troops exit and start running, it takes off again. It has an independent power source. The Sea Knight carries cargo down. A swamp buggy is airlifted by the helicopter (:27-2:14). The rotor blades of the Sea Knight (CH-46a) can be folded and unfolded. One of the them takes off from a battleship. A second soon follows. The Sea Knight comes in for a landing, shuts down its blades and folds the blades. A soldier parachutes into the water. The CH-113 Helicopter, is with the RCAF, picks up the man in the water and slowly takes off. Frogmen are deployed from the CH-113. Some men load into the back of the helicopter and it takes off. The CH-113 lands on the water and is taxiing slowly. POV from the cockpit as the chopper bounces on the waves in the water. The CH-113 lifts off into the air (2:15-5:44). FORD, Cleveland Foundry sign. A Boeing Vertol 107 brings heavy air conditioners to the top of the building. The chopper hovers with the AC units over the building. Boeing Vertol 107 lands on the roof. One of the units is landed onto the roof via the chopper. The pilot steadies over the roof. The Twin Turbine 107 flies over the Pan Am building in NYC. The airliner version of the 107 lands on a tarmac, passengers exit. A Boeing Vertol 107 picks up a truck and steadies itself. It doesn't lose control (5:45-8:35). A CH-113 lands on the water and then takes off from the water. Ice and snow is sprayed onto the hovering CH-113 to test winter conditions in a cold climate (8:36-9:22). The Swedish version of the helicopter called the HKP-4. It works with the Swedish Navy & AIr Force, it flies over water. It then lands on water, turns, and keeps its rotors running. Two of the fuel tanks with which the HKP-4 is equipped. A fuel jettison nozzle. The HKP-4 floats on the water. Fuel is dumped into the ocean and the HKP-4 flies upward. A simulated rescue of an airman who is floating in a raft. The HKP-4 lands and gets near him. The airman enters the chopper, gets in, brings his raft. A man is swimming in the water. The HKP-4 hovers over him and throws him a lifeline and pulls him up and in (9:23-12:57). The CH-113a, which the Canadian Army uses, lands on the ground. The UH-46a, which is used by the U.S. Navy, flies near a ship. The UH-46a lifts some cargo and flies away carrying it. Missiles are moved on a ship. The UH-46a picks up the missile, carries it to another ship. The UH-46a hovers right near the ship its delivering to. A battleship at sea, two ships send supplies via a high line method. The UH-46a comes in very fast to the ship's tarmac and lifts up ago and takes off (12:58-16:01). A UH-46a comes in and hooks up to vital cargo that is carries. A UH-46a drops off cargo as well. It hoists cargo into the air and leaves. It delivers the cargo to another ship. The UH-46a shuts down on the ship and refuels. A UH-46a is rolled out and getting ready to go. Its blades are unfolded.
