<description>Rescued after it was thrown away by the University of Arizona, this silent 16mm film gives a tour of the campus. It likely dates to about 1940. At :48 the area to the west of Old Main is shown, with the camera panning towards Old Main at 1:05. Bear Down gym can be seen in the distance. At 1:12 a lot of grass can be seen on campus. At 1:30 the Arizona State Museum is shown and the nearby auditorium. At 2:18 graduation ceremonies are shown. At 2:40 the College of Law is shown and the Library at 3:15. At 3:45 co-eds sit on the steps of a building. At 5:00 the Old Main building is shown, the heart of the campus. At 5:50 the College of Mines and Engineering is shown. At 6:19 the Women's Dorms are shown, with students shown at 8:00. At 8:40 students, along with a student of professor wearing a tie, examine a pond. The College of Liberal Arts is shown at 9:25 followed by the Humanities and Physics buildings. At 10:14 the administration buildings of the university are shown. At 10:50 the cactus garden. At 12:13 the Women's Gym is shown, and at 12:30 a wide shot shows the school's observatory (now behind Flandrau Planetarium). The observatory is shown again at 13:00. At 12:44 students go for a swim in a pool, possibly on campus but could also be at the nearby Arizona Inn. The school infirmary is shown at 13:25, followed by the Men's Gym or Bear Down Gym as it became known at 13:40. Finally the film shows the football stadium at 14:00 and a wide shot of Tucson and "A" Mountain at 14:30.
