The facility shown is the Cheongju Air Base (RKTU) in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. As part of the 17th Fighter Wing, the 152nd operated F-4E Phantom aircraft and conducted training exercises such as Buddy Squadron. The film includes footage of an exercise, with an air launched missile strike at 3:23 against a ground target. The Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) operated F-4 Phantom II jets from 1969 to June 2024. Over 55 years of service, the ROKAF used around 200 F-4s—including F-4D, F-4E, and RF-4C variants—as their premier fighter for air defense and reconnaissance, officially retiring the last operational fleet on June 5, 2024 Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
