It was also the first so-called J mission, with a longer stay on the Moon and a greater focus on science than earlier landings. Footage includes: (:23) crew photo showing David R. Scott, Alfred M. Worden and James B. Irwin (:39) effects of weightlessness / zero gravity demonstrated (:46) separation of Lunar Module LM-10, call sign Falcon, from Command Module, call sign Endeavor, in preparation for lunar landing. (1:51) shots of lunar surface from Falcon and touchdown (3:00) (3:20) Scott and Irwin on the lunar surface and aboard the Lunar Roving Vehicle. As commander, Scott was the driver. (6:00) ascent from lunar surface as seen from camera aboard Falcon, with Falcon's shadow visible out the window. (8:23) lunar rendezvous between Falcon and Endeavor (8:48) releasing the Particles and Fields Subsatellite (PFS-1) (9:18) images shot during "deep space" EVA. This EVA was performed by Worden, to retrieve film cassettes from the service module's scientific instrument module (SIM) bay, with assistance from Irwin who remained at the command module's hatch. (9:58) return to Earth, parachute deployment and splashdown. (11:11) astronauts arrive on board USS Okinawa. Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
