Goldsmith creation, is revamped in vivid animation produced by Rick Reinhart Productions. Goldsmith was a prominent psychologist and author known for works targeting the young reader. Reinhart founded the now defunct studio Rick Reinhart Productions and put work forth on two of Disney's “Winnie the Pooh”. The cartoon operates as a fun educational tool for youth to learn how to maintain their own health put forth by the American Dental Association. The “Tooth Chicken” runs around the bar yard bestowing various lessons to children and other animals. This particular episode uses the anecdote of a glutinous hog addicted to junk snacks. Rick Reinert (1925-2018) was an American animator and the founder of the studio Rick Reinert Productions. In addition to his work on two Winnie-the-Pooh projects for Disney during the early 1980s, he directed intros for After School Special and ABC Weekend Special, and was also a producer on Cap'n O. G. Readmore. Cartoon farm animals are befuddled by trails of candy wrappers strewn about the grounds (:20). The tooth chicken and friends (:35) speculate about the perpetrator. The duck and horse finger the hog as the suspect; notorious for poor eating habits (:51). They find the pig amid a flutter of colorful snack wrappers (1:15). He offers jelly beans (1:28). The group notices the pigs failing health and unpleasant appearance (1:37). The hog confesses of too much snacking between meals (1:53). The Tooth Chicken diagnoses the hog with "snackitits" (2:10). The hog learns about the four food groups (2:37) and how to safely enjoy his sugar snacks (3:32). The Tooth Chicken reminds the hog to brush and floss (3:39). Good snacks are offered as substitute (3:49). The group breaks for lunch (4:06) and the hog turns to clean his snack pile mess. The American Dental Association logo closes the film (4:24).  Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed. For almost two decades, we've worked to collect, scan and preserve the world as it was captured on 35mm, 16mm and 8mm movies -- including home movies, industrial films, and other non-fiction. If you have endangered films you'd like to have scanned, or wish to donate celluloid to Periscope Film so that we can share them with the world, we'd love to hear from you. Entirely film backed, this material is available for licensing in 24p HD, 2k and 4k.
