It features the "Radio Ambassador of Song, Al Shayne" in a "Poetic Gem" by Edgar A. Guest. This 1940s era, black and white film recounts a poem called, The Old Prospector Talks. The film opens on a mountain covered with evergreens 1:10. Snow-covered valleys 1:24. A burrow comes out of a mineshaft pulling two minecarts followed by a man 2:02. A buffalo grazes in a field 2:05. Wind blows the trees 2:35. A flowing stream 2:46. Two men approach a small running river 3:00. Men pan for gold 3:25. A conveyor belt is run by a waterwheel as the men dig for gold in the stream 3:55. The men pan for gold but also use the machinery with shovels full of dirt 4:15. One man packs his things and walks down the river leaving the other man behind at the mining claim 4:56. A man lays by the stream and smokes his pipe alone 5:03. Man walks with a burrow across a field 5:33. Man climbs a hill with his burrow 6:00. Man smoking a pipe uses his pickax to break rocks, looking for gold 6:41. Man unpacks is burrow in front of his cabin 7:02. Clouds roll over the sun and across the sky 7:16. Man feeds his burrow 7:30. A cross is seen on the side of the mountain 7:40. Dark clouds roll in 7:51. Man uses a pestle sitting front of his cabin 7:58. Man uses his pestle 8:12. The burrow stands guard in front of the cabin 8:34. A cross is seen under the sun and clouds on the side of the mountain 8:50. A lake in the foreground with a snow-covered mountain in the background 9:05. The sun sets 9:18. The End.
