It mirrors the content in a more widely released newsreel “The Teachers’ Crisis”. The film discusses the critical role of education in American democracy and the challenges faced by the public school system in the post-WWII period. It emphasizes that true democracy requires citizens who are well-prepared from childhood, which is why the U.S. has developed an extensive public school system.
