Jett, and Mission Specialists Leroy Chiao, Daniel T. Barry, Winston E. Scott, and Koichi Wakata (NASDA), awakened to a traditional Japanese song, 'Sea in Springtime.' Wakata, using the shuttle's robot arm, successfully retrieved the Japanese Space Flyer Unit (SFU) satellite and berthed it in the shuttle's cargo bay. Duffy and Wakata were interviewed, via satellite, by Japanese journalists and reporters in Houston, Texas. Earth views include cloud cover, storm systems, Africa and several other land masses.
