The first is about a traffic cop in Tel Aviv and the second is about the men who build roads in the blazing heat. This is from 1961. Opening titles: The Israel Office of Information presents VISTAS OF ISRAEL (:07-:31). Title card: City On Wheels. Tel Aviv, Israel. People board buses. Cars and buses drive down city streets. A traffic cop stands by. Cars pass by. People walk around. A police man walks into a police building. He checks in with a female co-worker. Another police officer draws up a map. Another police officer enters the building. Women workers take phone calls. The police officer leaves the building, gets on a motorcycle and drives off. The motorcycle goes down the road. A traffic officer directs traffic (:32-3:39). A bulldozer is being transported through town. The traffic cop directs more traffic, buses pass by. Motorcycle cop goes by and drives down the street. He pulls over to the curb. He pulls over a woman and gives her a written warning. He drives off (3:40-5:24). Title card: The Road-Builders. A Colonel in the Israeli Defense Forces speaks. Ruins of an ancient city in Israel. He points at a map. Israel desert. The Colonel continues to speak. Aerial shot of mountain terrain. The Colonel points at a map. Army engineers in the desert. The Colonel talks (5:25-7:36). Army engineers look at a map outside on a jeep. Jeeps drive in the desert. Jeeps drive in the hot desert sun throwing up dust. Aerial shot of mountains. Teams of surveyors at work. Men at work. A man holds a flag. An explosion. Cranes  and trucks move dirt and rocks. Men shovel. A boy surveys. Jeeps full of men drive down a dirt road. A jeep pulls over to a building. Men wash their faces and shave (7:37-10:37). Men and boys drink and talk near a body of water. They play ping pong. Smoke cigarettes. A jeep drives off. Army engineers look at a map outside on a jeep. A truck goes up a paved road. A bus drives down the road as well. Crews carry guns. The jeeps drive down a dirt road. Multiple jeeps.
