It begins with images of the Washington Monument and reflecting pool before showing the Capitol building (:40). At (1:27) is a nice shot of the Capitol dome as seen through cherry blossoms. At (2:11) a shot of the Supreme Court building, Jefferson Monument, and at (3:01) Blair House. At (3:28) a shot of the White House, and at (4:18) the sign for the National Gallery of Art. At (5:01) the National Naval Medical Center at Bethesda is shown. At (5:43) shots of Washington National Airport including Capitol Airlines DC-3s on the tarmac. At (6:26) the sign for Mount Vernon is shown, followed by shots of the grounds, and then images of the rotunda at Arlington National Cemetery (7:41). The film ends with shots at the National Zoo (8:15) including zebras, bears and polar bears. Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
