The officers being honorable discharges that day were Commander C.A. Wentz, Commander F.J. David, Commander M.J. Massa, and Commander J.H. McMillan. Film starts with a low angle shot of the American flag in a stiff breeze (:38) before moving onto an inspection and then the retirement ceremony itself, followed by a parade of sailors and an informal chat among the attendees.
