<description>This 1-minute, 55-second video clip from May 31, 2007 shows flight footage of the relocation flight of NASA's Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) from Waco, Texas to Dryden Flight Research Center (now Armstrong Flight Research Center). The aircraft shown flying chase is an F/A-18; chase pilots are in constant radio contact with research pilots and serve as an "extra set of eyes" to help maintain total flight safety during specific tests and maneuvers. They monitor certain events for the research pilot and are an important safety feature on all research missions.
