        <description>Dating to the 1930s, this silent home movie shows a trip around the world starting in Hawaii at 11:00, where Waikiki Beach is shown. At :42, men in suits and ties are on the beach. At :55 are shots of what might be the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. At 1:34 the men are seen again -- one of them might be Hawaiian or Asian. At 1:59 an upside down title card announces, "Our Mediterranean Cruise February 7, 1929". At 2:15 are shots of the Canary Islands. At 2:30 locals hold out sheets to catch change thrown from the ocean liner. At 2:44 Rabat, North Africa is shown. At 2:56, local child musicians entertain the tourists. At 3:17 are scenes shot in Gibraltar including of a large ocean liner, possibly SS Cathay. At 3:44 are shots of the quay at Gibraltar -- note the horsedrawn cab on the dock. At 4:28 Algiers is shown. At 4:50 a woman in a burkha is visible. At 5;11 are panoramic shots of the city. At 6:00 the busy harbor is shown. At 6:19 a sign for Kehl, probably the city in Germany, is shown. At 6;21 are shots aboard a train, with passengers in a compartment. At 6:50 are shots of pigeons swarming a man. At 7:00, a bearded man holds court. At 7:15, more shots out the train window. At 7:29, shots aboard a ship of wealthy couples enjoying the sea air. At 7:49 the Statue of Liberty is visible in the fog. At 8:03 are shots of Washington, D.C. including the Washington Monument. The film continues with shots of a large dam, possibly the Hoover Dam, rock formations, and cactus at 9:28. At 10:00 are street shots in what might be Los Angeles and at 10:28 shots of an impressive looking luxury car possibly a Dusenberg or Dodge Brothers Sport Sedan. Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
