It begins with images on the Mosel River at :28, and shows Trier's clock tower at 1:38, as well as a farmer's market with flower stands (1:51), and ruins of a Roman bath at 2:14. At 2:37 the Palastgarten Palace Gardens. At 2:51, a small car ferry is shown. At 3:21, winery workers are shown in a field of grape plants. At 3:29 are sweeping views of the Mosel valley. At 3:36, a barge type ship moves down the river. At 3:57 an imposing castle is visible high up on a hillside. At 4:03, busy streets of Baden-Baden are shown teeming with pedestrians. The Hotel Zum Goldenen Löwen is visible on the right side. At 4:35 an ancient city gate is shown. At 5:05 trams rumble past the Hotel Frankfurter Hof is shown on Am Kaiserplatz (now called Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof) in Frankfurt am Main. 5:38 Esso gas station on a rural road. 5:42 images of the Black Forest. 6:16 cafe. 6:26 toddler. 6:31 views of a large building, unknown (if you know, please identify it in the comments). 7;16, a farmer comes past with an oxen drawn cart. 7:39 boys in lederhosen. 8:01 road sign for Wertheim, Baden-Württemberg as a woman strolls past pulling a small cart. At 8:55 a family poses for the camera. 9:51 a person whisks by on a Vespa type scooter. At 10:10, two people use a hand powered lawn mower to cut heavy grass. At 10:27, elementary school kids congregate and pose for the camera. At 10:53, more grass mowing. At 10:58 the gardener and his wife pose for the camera. At 11:04 a roadsign for Stuttgart is visible in front of the Backerei Emil Lutz. At 11:13 a farmer's stand is shown with fresh produce. At 11:27 a car drives past with large jugs of milk on a trailer in the back. At 11:45 a graveyard is shown. Trier is a city on the banks of the Moselle in Germany. It lies in a valley between low vine-covered hills of red sandstone in the west of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, near the border with Luxembourg and within the important Moselle wine region. Karl Marx, philosopher and founder of the theory that would become known as Marxism, was born in the city in 1818. Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
