A Littleford Model 115 “Tankar” Steam Heater heats a tank car of bituminous material (01:22), and then a Littleford CLRC “Spray Master” Pressure Distributor, frameless constructed, semi-trailer, pumps the material from the Tank Car” (02:30). The Littleford “Spray Master” applies a tack coat on the old road surface (04:00), then a heavy layer of aggregate (gravel) is applied (05:45). Next, a Littleford Model 108 Engine Driven Road Broom is used to sweep the original surface free of dirt and dust (06:52), then the “Spray master” applies heavy chips (07:48) along road. A Grader mixes chips and asphalt as it goes until the aggregate is thoroughly coated (09:44), then strikes off the coated chips (11:12). After that, a roller compacts the mix to create a smooth road surface (13:06). A car drives down the smooth, high-quality finished product (14:35).
