At (:10), on June 13, 1927 Lindbergh arrives in New York and is greeted with a ticker tape parade (:30). Mounted police escort Lindy to City Hall (1:40) where Mayor Walker presents the Lone Eagle with the Municipal Medal. At 2:15, Lindy goes down 5th Avenue and is saluted by tens of thousands. At 2:35 he watches a parade in his honor and Governor Smith presents him with a medal at Central Park (2:50). Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
