Unlike many of the films Cousteau made in this era, this one does not rely primarily on underwater cameras or SCUBA gear. The plot of the film is fairly simple -- a Monk seal is taken from a sandy beach in Morocco, and then transported by ship to France where it becomes part of the exhibit at the Paris Zoo. Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed. We collect, scan and preserve 35mm, 16mm and 8mm movies -- including home movies, industrial films, and other non-fiction.
