        <description>This 1945 Technicolor film begins with images of photographs being developed, and goes on to tell the story of the combat photographers. Here at mark 0:31 is the U.S Coast Guard photography laboratory. From every battle front in World War II, endless photographs and motion picture films reports history in the making for the American people. All tell the story of the greatest struggle of time, a story recorded by anonymous men. The stories of these men are the dramatic events they cover as seen at mark 1:11. The story of the combat camera men began long ago telling headline stories in picture as seen at mark 1:55. At mark 2:03, there is another camera man bringing to the public in a film report of the events of the world. At mark 2:18, there is a Hollywood camera man whose skill as a craft man puts him at the top of his profession. Also at mark 2:28, it was the untrained boy in uniform who learnt his place in the service and learned it well or a travel guide camera man at mark 2:38, who brought pictures of colorful and unknown world, islands filled with ne cultures and great people as seen at mark 3:15. But that was yesterday when the pacific was peaceful but with countries at war, the surveillance cameras all become soldiers, coastal guards and all the likes as seen at mark 3:50. At mark 4:18 – mark 4:29, there include many pictures which had been done by these camera men. Here are the combat documents made by these camera men. At mark 5:10 is a village that had been ravaged with war. So now everything is recorded on the way. At mark 6:15, are the marine guys going onboard for missions. Once the ship had left the shore, the camera work begins as seen at mark 7:02. At mark 7:59, a dog named Peggy is been captured on the camera with its new family. Each day brought the convoy to their objectives. They all make preparations and every fighting men check their weapons, the camera men check their cameras. During the little time left they relaxed when they could as seen at mark 9:20. At mark 9:50, the combats begin as the marines fight with troops on air. At mark 10:51, we see the cameramen on their mission, capturing the moments. The kamikaze pilots took a heavy toll as seen at mark 11:01. This was the hardest part of the assignment, the story of the fallen marines on battle as it is been captured by the cameramen seen at mark 11:24. Yesterday those men were their mates on the ship, today photograph them for the last time as they were been honored and thrown into the sea. At mark 12:18, another attack was seen at night which lasted till the morning. Shots were been fired and as usual, the cameramen are seen capturing the invasion. At mark 14:00, they reached the shore line and the battle on the ground started. Camera men were everywhere capturing the events, the guns used in the attacks, machinery, dead soldiers and more. They covered the big guys guns as seen at mark 14:16. They moved ahead with the troops, they were everywhere capturing the full scope of the invasion force. Some camera men will never know how the picture end as seen at mark 14:41 and for others, the long trip back has begun. The battle was over as they went onboard their boats and depart for their various homes. For some camera men, it was over as seen at mark 15:19 but the reports of the war had to be completed. At mark 15:36, a wounded man is been treated. At mark 16:05, they moved from their cargo ships as civilian of the war are seen at mark 16:30. These were the strange people from the land of the rising sun. At mark 16:55, is the grave site of the men who sacrificed their lives for the sake of their country. At mark 17:04, the camera men are seen writing heir reports and photos in the dark room. At mark17:30, even when history are made, it’s the combat cameraman that captures it.  From Tarawa to Tokyo, these men have recorded the greatest stories of all time from sunrise to sunset. Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
