The Apollo 16 mission was the tenth crewed mission in the United States Apollo space program, administered by NASA, and the fifth and penultimate to land on the moon. It involved an extended stay on the lunar surface with a focus on science and the use of the Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV). The mission was crewed by astronauts John W. Young, Thomas K. Mattingly II, and Charles M. Duke Jr and the landing and exploration were in the Descartes Highlands. News crew films launch of NASA Apollo 16 from Kennedy Space Center in Florida (0:16-2:05).
