        <description>Released in 1943 by Castle Films, one of the premiere makers of commercial "home movie" type 16mm films and newsreels, this exciting film opens with footage from the Battle of the Atlantic. At 1:30, the fatal end of the French Navy is seen, as the armada is scuttled at Toulon. At 2:00, the liner Normandie is shown burning at its moorings, and the hull being raised. At 2:26, forces under MacArthur are shown pressing the offensive in the Solomon Islands, and Mac is seen at 2:50. At 3:00, paratroops are seen making a landing in the South Pacific. Japanese prisoners are shown. At 4:18, Joseph Stillwell is seen fighting in Burma against the Japanese. At 5:00, insurrection and rebellion is seen in Argentina, which ended the government of Ramón Castillo. At 5:43, Tripoli is seen in Allied hands and Montgomery is seen with Churchill and the Eighth Army, heroes of the desert battle. At 6:11, American and British, as well as Free French and Canadian forces invade Sicily.  The USS Savannah is seen with extensive battle damage as the Fifth Army invades Salerno and presses the offensive in Naples and Rome. At 7:00, a Swastika is seen being trampled by American G.I.s. At 7:11, street fighting is seen in Naples. At 7:30, B-17, B-24 and A-26 Marauder aircraft are shown making attacks on German soil. At 8:23, the Eastern Front is seen with Russian forces engaged in an enormous Summer offensive, with Red spearheads sealing the fate of the Wehrmacht. At 9:20, Secretary of State Hull visits Moscow to discuss unconditional surrender terms for Germany with his Russian counterparts.
