The film consists of a series of interviews conducted with different people weighing in on women’s participation in the labor force. It includes interviews with experts such as a university professor, a labor market analyst, and an employee of Pennsylvania’s State Employment Service. It also includes interviews with regular people such as two working woman, a homemaker, and reverend. The film is interjected with footage of women working in different roles. 0:13 people leaving a workplace with a particular focus on women, 0:36 women doing several jobs including typing, nursing, working in a restaurant, a supermarket, an office, as a police officer, 1:54 women typing and operating computers, 2:18 a teacher in a classroom, 2:34 a woman interviewing a man, 5:33 the interviewer now speaks with a woman managing an art gallery, 7:23 interviewer interviewing a woman in her home, 9:42 a woman speaking to the camera, 11:52 women getting out of an elevator after work, 12:01 women working in different positions including in factories, on railroads, as bus drivers, at hospitals, in labs, 12:42 interviewer speaks to a Dr. Jones, 15:01 a suburban home with a woman working in it, 15:14 the woman speaking to the camera on her house, 16:58 interviewer with a woman working for the PA State Employment Service, 19:20 interviewer interviews a man in a suit, 20:35 interviewer interviews a labor market analyst, 22:27 a reverend speaks to the camera, 24:00 women working in different positions including as a nun in a school, nursing children at a hospital, working in a factory, doing desk work, working in restaurants, and driving buses.
