"The Final Phase" shows how the Air Force responded in the face of the Chinese offensive -- supplying United Nations forces with much needed supplies through air drops, and providing close air support and interdiction for desperate infantry units. F-80s and F-86s are shown trying to disrupt Chinese supply lines. Eventually this use of airpower helped stabilized the situation. At 4:24, F-86 squadrons begin performing fighter sweeps along "Mig Alley", flying against Migs flown by the Chinese (and as it turned out, Russian aviators as well) and destroying them on an 8-1 ratio. At 9:55, the United Nations delegation and representatives from North Korea are seen meeting to negotiate the end of hostilities, and at 10:30 American prisoners are seen arriving for an exchange.
