The film presents the simple story of a boy named Tom, who is visiting the pier at Coney Island, New York. While escaping from other boys intent on grabbing his ball, Tom accidentally runs into a young girl, causing her dog to run away down the beach. While pursuing the dog, the girl ends up separated from her father. Tom helps protect the girl from the bullies who want to harras her and steal her balloon, and finally is able to get her back to her dad. The film is probably most notable for presenting views of the Coney Island pier and amusement park, including the exterior of the Spook-a-Rama at 14:27, and views of the Wonder Wheel. Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
