End titles (21:26). This episode of Discovery ‘67 was directed by Sel Levy, produced by Jules Power and Daniel Wilson, written by Ronald Liss, filmed by Max Glenn (with underwater footage supplied by Marineland of Florida), edited by Michael Weiner, and created in association with the National Education Association for ABC News and Public Affairs. Marineland of Florida (originally Marine Studios, now Marineland Dolphin Adventure) was built in 1937, suffered a severe decline in the 1980s, and was purchased by the Georgia Aquarium in 2011. In recent years, the oceanarium has courted controversy and criticism from animal rights organizations, focusing on the treatment of wild-caught cetaceans (aquatic mammals) in their hands-on “dolphin encounter” programs.
