The studios also feared that there was a growing public backlash against some of the offerings produced by the industry. One outgrowth of this was "The World is Ours", which was part of a campaign called "Movies Are Your Best Entertainment". The film attempts to show the value of motion pictures to Americans, by showing a family discussing movies. During the film they embark on a vacation to Hollywood, and tour the major studios. They debate options for entertainment (1:57); parents nag the children to complete chores in order to enjoy a film night. The older members of the family discuss changes in the movie industry. Happy stars enjoy a birthday party on set of the film ‘You Can't Take it With You’ directed by Frank Capra (12:25). Warner Brother’s Studios appears (12:32). Edmund Gouling (12:46) stands next to star Errol Flynn on the set of 'The Dawn Patrol' (12:41). United Artists Studio Corp. follows (12:49). Other small named studios appear including Hal Roach Studios (12:51) and Selznick International Pictures (12:54). Virginia Bruce receives direction from director Norman McLeod on the set of ‘There Goes My Heart’ (13:11). Carol Lombard and James Stewart enjoy tea in a scene from ‘Made for Each Other’ at the Selznick studios (13:19). Gary Cooper and Merle Oberon (13:25) appear. Universal Pictures Studios (13:29). Deanna Durbin (13:42) rehearses for "That Certain Age" a 1938 release. Shirley Temple trots alongside director Walter Lang on the grounds of 20th Century Fox (13:45).
