It features images from the Philippines, Guam, Occupied Japan and elsewhere, and shows how U.S. occupation forces attempted to re-establish the lives, home and industry of nations in war-torn Asia. It was part of the promotional campaign behind the Eighth War Loan Drive, called the Victory Loan (begun October 29, 1945 -- roughly two months after the war ended).
