It breaks down the character of the shoplifter; the amateur versus the professional, why they commit the crime and how. It shows the impact of shoplifting on businesses, stressing the need for attentive staff. The film continues to show effective prevention methods including keeping valuable items secured, arranging displays geometrically and acknowledging customers in order to reduce the opportunity for theft.
