These were the 49th and 50th Parades, respectively. The 1939 Parade theme was "Playland Fantasies" and features marvelous floats and at 3:43 a 20th Century Fox wagon. At 3:47 the 1939 Parade begins. This one includes a sensational Wizard of Oz float at 6:11, sponsored by Culver City where MGM Studios was located. Some of the other floats include North Hollywood at 8:20, and Ventura's entry at 8:30. At 10:09 a huge "Last Supper" made of flowers moves down the street.
