This toon briefly features the Private SNAFU character, who appeared in his own series. Both series were directed by Chuck Jones and other prominent Hollywood animators, with the voice of Private Snafu was performed by Mel Blanc. This particular cartoon, like others in "A Few Quick Facts" series, presents serious information for G.I.s in a way that is easy to digest. Here the message is that a G.I.'s salary goes a long way overseas, and might even destabilize the local economies.
