This is circa the 1970s. Floats, including a Pioneer Chicken float, go by as part of a July 4th or Cinco de Mayo parade (:00). In the background is a sign for the "West Side Hav All" store and "Raymond's Transmissions". Hispanic or Chicano women march, dressed as what appears to be Mayans or Aztecs (:12). Lowrider automobiles drive by with streamers on them (:25). A truck with a sign 'save gas, eat beans' goes by (:45). "El Jardin de La Abuelita" float rides by with mariachi type band. Mariachi cowboys ride horses (:51). People line up in front of a red ribbon as part of a ceremony to open a parking lot for a lowrider car show and contest (:55). A politician -- a man in a suit -- speaks to people in the group lined up (1:21). The man continues to talk to the group (2:05). People clap as the ceremony continues (2:37). Certificates are handed out to some of the group (2:56). Motion picture films don't last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
