This was a small scale invasion exercise in South Florida that involved twenty-one U.S. Navy, Marines and National Guard units, including ships. The premise of the exercise was that an unfriendly nation had occupied an island (for example: Grenada) and the U.S. military was tasked with removing them. Other parts of the exercise included search and rescue, fire suppression, damage control, and more. A Navy exercise in in full swing with weapons (:40). Captain Peter Sargurus puts on a helmet (:58). The mine sweeping Navy vessel USS Thrush is shown (1:09). An invasion and counter attack on Fisher Island is one part of the exercise (1:23). Battle for Fisher Island exercise, men with weapons and fatigues storm the beach (1:35). SEALs or special operators move amongst the thick brush (1:49).
