This film shows SCUBA divers in the tank, negotiating using handholds on a grid which is made up of hexagons. A somewhat similar open mesh hexagonal grid floor was used aboard Skylab. The grid shown is also demonstrated to support toeholds, enabling the diver to have the leverage to lift and emplace the handle-like device over and over again. At 8:17, a diver attempts to secure a large case or instrument package to the grid, using the handle to hold it in place. It does not work.
